So... this is my first blog and I must be honest - at first I had no idea what to do with it. Should I be light and Funny? Or dark and intellectual. After reading through a mix of blogs I came up with this - do whatever. It really doesn't matter. A blog is a place to be yourself, post what you like and generally do whatever you like. You have none of the constraints imposed by sites such a Facebook and Myspace where you know who's viewing your posts and they can't be too good or people aren't going to read them. In your blog it is what you want and when you want it, and if people don't like then it's their problem.
So. How to go about making this my own was another issue entirely. Well... I may as well tell you what I like. my favourite past times include:
- Reading - fantasy is my favourite but I love philosophical non-fiction as well. Historical fantasy is optimum.
- Pondering the deep questions of the universe - especially when I can come up with an answer thanks to Mr Douglas Adams...
- Debating issues - modestly, I'm fantastic at this. (a reminder. My "debating" is really professional arguing. I am queen)
- Listening to music - as you shall find out in later posts my taste ranges from rock to classical to soul. I enjoy most types of music, but I will not stand for really trashy pop or country. just don't go there.
So... what to post. This is just an Introduction to the wonderful world or me, but I will be writing to you about a broad spectrum of language, history, current events, music, cooking and all round fascination of the world around us. Don't be offended if I'm frank. Like it or Leave it.
