Rise of the romantic - Society

A blog post for English, so a bit short...

Why? What an interesting question. It could mean anything from "Why did you kill him?" to "Why do people live and die? It is the penultimate question, exemplary from defintion or structure.

This pondering is one of the components that I believe to contribute to the title/ideology of the Romantic. The one who considers the fall of the smallest raindrop on the most insignificant leaf to be a wonder, the person who looks at the birth of a calf, not as an example of the reproduction of cows, but rather as a miracle of Gods' creation. It is pure, exceptional, exquisitely thankful that it should not merely be considered one of the many facet of the bright diamond-star of the world, but as an aim for all to try to acheive - when you can look around you and gaze in captured love, and be glad.

But the dark cloud of society overshadows.

Everyday, people litter, swear, take everything for granted and do not acknowledge the beauty around them. A tree is a tree, not a wonder. I am not preaching. In fact, I know and acknowledge that I am also like the rest of the world. I am as guilty of hypocrisy as much as the next person, but hear me when I say that this is also in keeping with the great Romantic idea - there is no hypocrisy assuming that you acknowledge that you are also in the wrong. To aim high, my friends, is not to expect the impossible - that human nature can change it's ways, that we can be perfect, beautiful beings. Shine in your own way, without prejudice in sin.

"As machines become more and more efficient and perfect, so it will become clear that imperfection is the greatness of man."
